Perfect Royal Icing Recipe by Casey - creator of Mixer Skirt
3 cups powdered sugar
3 TBSP meringue powder
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 TBSP Clear corn syrup
Water
Stand Mixer (Kitchenaid, Hamilton Beach, Cuisinart)
Paddle Attachment

Clean stand mixer bowl with dish soap and warm water
Dry well
Add 3 cups powdered sugar
Add 3 TBSP meringue powder (I use Wiltons)
Mix with whisk until combined
Add 2 TBSP corn syrup , 1 tsp vanilla and 3 TBSP water
Using the paddle attachment and your Mixer Skirt to prevent stand mixer splashes
Mix on low speed, once water is incorporated add a tablespoon more and continue to mix.
Mix on medium speed for 1-2 minutes.
Using a spray bottle with water, add additional water until your frosting turns white and is stiff peak consistency
Divide and color using Americolor gels and additional water from spray bottle until stiff, line and flood consistencies achieved
Once bagged - “helicopter” for 10-15 seconds prior to clipping or knitting bag.
